Gross gaming revenue (GGR) from online operators in Portugal continued its record-breaking streak in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Revenue for Q4 hit €323m, up €56.7m, or 21.3 per cent, on the €266.3m reported in Q3.
Online gaming revenue has now reached a new high for 10 consecutive quarters dating back to the €158.2 in revenue posted in Q3 2022.
However, the latest rise stands out among recent uplifts. After two quarters of relatively stable growth in Q2 (€261.8m) and Q3 (€266.3m) of 2024 after revenue reached €260.8m in Q1, there was a more notable rise of €56.7m between Q3 and Q4.
Online games of chance represented 57.2 per cent of the total Q4 GGR in Portugal with fixed-odds betting accounting for the remaining 42.8 per cent.
Year-on-year, the Q4 revenue figure reported by the Portuguese gambling regulator, the SRIJ, is up 42.1 per cent, or €95.6m, from the €227.4m in GGR reported in Q4 2023.
Fixed-odds sports betting revenue in the latest quarter was €138.3m, up 51.7 per cent quarter-on-quarter and up 90 per cent on Q4 2023.
Online games of chance GGR was €184.6m, up 5.5 per cent quarter-on-quarter and up 19.5 per cent year-on-year.
