PointsBet has revealed interim completion for the transfer of its operations in New York to Fanatics Betting and Gaming.

The jurisdiction is one in the collection that Fanatics is gaining access to following a US$225m deal to buy PointsBet’s US arm earlier this year.
PointsBet said completion for the New York operations included regulatory approval from the New York State Gaming Commission.
It said that transfer of additional US state operations to Fanatics will happen “as the applicable gaming approvals are obtained”, with subsequent completion “tracking as planned.”
PointsBet is instead focusing its efforts on its primary operations in Australia as well as its challenger brand in Ontario.
Fanatics said in a statement: “Today, the New York State Gaming Commission approved Fanatics Betting and Gaming’s acquisition of PointsBet New York LLC.
"We would like to thank the commissioners and staff of the New York State Gaming Commission for their time and effort in delivering us some great news today.
“We look forward to working with the staff of the New York State Gaming Commission to bring the Fanatics Sportsbook to the largest sports wagering state in the US."
