The regulatory body’s “precautionary” measure aims to ensure the brands in question can prove the credentials of their cybersecurity measures.

Bell Ventures Digital, operating BandBet as part of a partnership with OpenBet, has been suspended, as has Betesporte Online Betting, operating Betesporte nd Labetesporte.bet.br, Lance de Sorte.

Logame do Brasil, which operates Lider Bet, GeralBet and bx2 bet, has also been suspended alongside Sortenabet Gaming Brasil, which runs the SorteNaBet, Betou and Betfusion.

An ordinance published by the SPA which forms part of the sports betting regulation requires operators to submit betting system assessment reports within 90 days of being authorised.

The regulator said it will impose a daily fine of BRL40,000 (£5,141.67) if non-compliance continues.

“The absence of these reports compromises the safety of bettors and the broader economy, hinders efforts to combat money laundering and affects tax and contribution collection,” the SPA said.

“The measure applies to all authorised sites operated by the companies subject to the precautionary order.”
