PointsBet says certain discussions with “multiple parties” over “strategic transactions” for part or all of its North American business are “well advanced.”

The company added it remains in talks with third parties about acquiring its Australian business. However, it has terminated talks with the party it confirmed it was in talks with at the end of December.
The news comes as PointsBet reported a total group net win increase of 39 per cent for Q3, up to $106.6m – a company record.
North America net win rose 128 per cent compared to the prior comparable period, but Australian net win was $50.7m, down three per cent.
PointsBet managing director and CEO, Sam Swanell, said the Australian business is “outperforming the market in an industry facing headwinds” and reported “strong momentum” in the North America business.
