The additional payment, covering the years 2008 to 2017, means that no penalties will be imposed as a result of the audit. This additional tax charge will be reflected as an exceptional item in Playtech's 2018 accounts and payment is expected to be made in the next 30 days. The news follows on from Playtech announcing that changes to gambling legislation in Italy will reduce the firm’s expected adjusted EBITDA by between €20m and €25m.
