The Malta Gaming Authority has suspended the remote gaming licence of Phoenix International.

The directive means that the company has been ordered to indefinitely suspend all gaming operations, cease registering new players or accept any deposits and to submit all data and documentation requested by the Authority.

All websites operated by Phoenix which make reference to the Authority or the Malta licence have been barred from operating. Players who deem to have outstanding payments due to them have been told to send an email to the Authority stating their claim.

A statement from the Authority read: “No further information shall be released at this stage in order not to compromise any investigations that may need to be performed by the Authority and/or any other competent authority.”
