Greece is seeking an improved offer for the sale of a stake in the country’s gambling monopoly, OPAP, after the sole remaining bidder offered €622m.

The bid from Emma Delta - a Greek-Czech investment fund – for 33 per cent of OPAP is considered to be less than the company's market value.

Despite a general lack of interest in the sale, Greece has given Emma Delta until the morning of Thursday, April 25, to raise its offer, two officials close to the talks told Reuters earlier this week.
