Sportradar will provide real-time play-by-play and game statistics via the NHL’s proprietary Hockey Information Tracking System to media and technology companies worldwide.

HITS provides in-game stats such as time on ice, face-offs won/lost, shots on goal and missed shots.

“This partnership with Sportradar advances our commitment to statistics as a storytelling tool,” said Stephen McArdle, NHL executive vice president of digital media and strategic planning.

“We recognise that innovative technology helps bring game statistics to life and showcases the extraordinary talent in the NHL.”

“NHL content is a true international asset,” added Ulrich Harmuth, managing director at Sportradar Global.

“We will bring this comprehensive data to customers across the globe, including hockey-relevant markets like Scandinavia, Russia and eastern Europe.”
