New York’s sports betting revenue climbed by almost 30 per cent year-on-year but there was, in contrast, a drop off of similar size year-on-year.

The Empire State’s wagering operators generated US$133.93m in revenue in June, up 29 per cent from the $103.83m posted last June.
However, the latest figure dropped by 34.1 per cent from May’s $203.3m, one of only a few times the revenue figure has topped $200m.
It was a similar story for New York’s sports betting handle in June, which rose by 26.3 per cent to $1.47bn from the $1.17bn posted in June 2023.
Although, the sports wagering handle declined by 25.3 per cent from the $1.97bn posted in May.
FanDuel was the top-performing operator in New York in June, posting handle of $571.3m and revenue of $67.1m.
DraftKings followed behind with handle of $521.6m and revenue of $40.9m.
