Another new record for online sports betting revenue has been set in New York with December’s posting of US$188.3m.

The figure beats the previous best of $166.3m which was set in October – translating to a rise of 11.7 per cent.

The Empire State has in fact set a number of new revenue records since the market launched in January 2022, with March 2023’s $162.8m also a record at the time.

Online sports betting handle is also seeing an upward trend for New York, with December the third month where the figure has hit $2bn and November’s $2.1bn the current record in that regard.

As for the online sports betting operators involved, FanDuel took pole position for handle and revenue in December, with postings of $93.6m in revenue from handle of $834.5m.

DraftKings followed behind with handle of $773.4m and revenue of $65.2m.
