Mobile sports betting handle in New York dropped from a record US$1.79bn in January to $1.47bn in February.

The dip subsequently translated to a decrease in gross gaming revenue, with the New York State Gaming Commission reporting that figure at $108.3m compared with $149.4m in January.

Year-on-year, New York’s mobile sports betting handle slid 3.9 per cent from February 2022’s efforts.

However, GGR increased 31.4 per cent year-on-year.

Of the various operators in the Emipre State, FanDuel’s mobile sports betting handle jumped to $591m from the $568m posted in February 2022, while there was also a hike in GGR to $53.5m, up from $23.1m a year ago.

Elsewhere, DraftKings’ mobile sports betting handle climbed from $387.6m to $491.2m year-on-year and its GGR rose from $29.9m to $33.4m.
