The Morris Mohawk Gaming Group, with a gaming licence in Kahnawake, Canada, has licensed the Bodog.eu domain from the global brand owner BodogBrand.com as part of MMGG's international expansion programme.
MMGG made the decision in December 2010 to expand internationally and has already started work on one new country. Its current domain licence for Bodog.com will be allowed to expire once the transition is complete.
MMGG CEO Alwyn Morris commented: "The experience of history tells us not to stand still and we feel this more global domain will appeal more directly to the new markets we plan to enter. We did the deal with BodogBrand.com for the EU domain last year but are ready to cut over globally now. Like many in the gaming world we will be looking at Asia very closely and there are many markets that Bodog88.com, the brand’s Asian facing licensee, is not interested in. We also have our eyes on some exciting market opportunities in Latin America."
