An allocated $3m will be going towards the regulator’s “Don’t Regret the Bet” responsible gaming campaign.

The campaign launched earlier this year and provides information on safer gambling.

“A well funded gaming control agency is crucial for ensuring fair and honest gaming in the state of Michigan, preventing fraud and illegal activities, and addressing problem gambling,” MGCB executive director Henry Williams said.

The MGCB is also steering $2.2m and 16 full-time equivalent jobs towards new gaming programs.

Funding allocations will take effect on October 1, the start of Michigan’s FY2024 budget calendar year, if they are signed off by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
