Metro Play, the mobile gaming website created by the Metro newspaper, is now live.

The Metro, owned by DMG Media, conducted a study which found commuters play games in their heads to entertain themselves on the daily commute. Whether that’s the race for the seats or trying to guess the song from the beat pounding out of the headphones of the next person, Metro Play aims to offer a more entertaining alternative.
Commuters can now play more than 50 games on their mobile phones and tablets via Metro Play Games and Metro Play Casino, including Sudoku, puzzles and casino games.
Metro hopes that Metro Play will be a pick me up at any time of day, simple and fun for the busiest worker. Jamie Walters, Metro Play’s executive director said: “When you’re on the go all day, you want to make the most of the moments you have to yourself, turning passing time into something fun and rewarding.”
