Sports betting revenue in Massachusetts climbed 25.6 per cent year-on-year in June but could not reach or surpass May’s total.

Online and retail licensees in the Bay State generated US$40.5m in June, up from $32.2m in June 2023 but down 29 per cent from May’s $57m.
The revenue came from sports wagering handle of $509.4m. This figure was up 53.4 per cent on last June’s $332m but fell 13.3 per cent from May 2024’s $587.3m.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission reported sports betting tax revenues of $8.2m in June, up 28 per cent from last June’s $6.4m but down 28.3 per cent from May’s $11.5m.
DraftKings was the top-performing online operator in June, generating revenue of $19.3m from handle of $263.7m.
FanDuel followed behind with revenue of $16.5m from handle of $141.4m.
