Manx Telecom was included in the 2011 Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For list announced last week - the first time the company has applied for inclusion.
The award puts Manx Telecom alongside some of the UK’s major high street brands and is the result of an extensive survey in which employees are invited to comment on a range of issues including management, opportunities for personal development and on what the company gives to the wider community.
Chris Hall, managing director of Manx Telecom, attended the awards ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London which was hosted by BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull. Chris Hall said: "Our inclusion in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For list at the first attempt is a remarkable achievement for everyone at Manx Telecom and demonstrates the high level of commitment from all our employees right across the business. It is a testimony to their dedication and to our collective commitment to the business and the community we serve."
The Sunday Times sponsored survey is the largest employee survey of its kind with over 1,165 organisations involved and 275,000 employees completing the survey this year. The survey focuses on workplace engagement and aims to show the level to which employees feel personally involved with their place of work.
