Lottoland Australia has appointed Matt Brinckley, the former head of commercial operations at William Hill Australia, as its new marketing director.

Brinckley started his gaming career as a customer service operator at Centrebet before rising through the ranks to his most recent position at William Hill.

Lottoland Australia launched in January, in the same week the US PowerBall reached a record-breaking US$1.6bn.

The sudden availability of the huge jackpot to Australian players led to 250,000 customers signing up to Lottoland in just 48 hours.
