With the UK arm of Locus Gaming, which handles the group’s marketing and business development functions, facing liquidation, CEO and founder Ed Andrewes has told InterGame he remains hopeful the Isle of Man business, which operates Jack Gold Casino on an Isle of Man licence, will soon resume trading.

A fortnight ago a notice was posted on the homepage at JackGold.com announcing that the online casino is no longer taking bets: “We are doing all we can to resolve the situation but until then customers are free to log in and withdraw funds until October 10, 2014.”
A second statement on the site stated that “there is no risk at all to customer funds, which are fully protected” – a point Andrewes was keen to stress.
“We continue to act entirely within the bounds of our licence,” he told InterGame, adding that the company had “placed emphasis on the ringfencing of customer funds.”
The voluntary liquidation of Locus Gaming UK is being managed by the London-based Smith & Williamson. Andrewes is optimistic that once that process is complete, Locus Gaming Isle of Man, with the Jack Gold brand and associated licence intact, will attract third-party investment and ultimately resume trading.
