Light & Wonder has hired internally to fill its vacant igaming CEO role, taken on by Simon Johnson.
Johnson has been at Light & Wonder since 2017 and was most recently senior vice president and international managing director for EMEA, Asia and Australia and New Zealand.
He replaces Dylan Slaney, who said his departure as CEO of igaming as a “personal decision in its purest form.”
“I am excited to share that I have stepped into the role of CEO, igaming at Light & Wonder,” Johnson wrote on LinkedIn. “As we embark on a new year, I am energised by the opportunities ahead and eager to work with our incredibly talented igaming team across the world.”
“Simon has been instrumental in driving the international commercial efforts of the Gaming business,” Light & Wonder said.
“In his new role, he will bring his extensive industry expertise to lead igaming into its next chapter.”
Johnson’s previous experience includes three years at Scientific Games, where he was group commercial director and interim managing director before the split from Light & Wonder.
