Sports betting operator LeoVegas was crowned Brand of the Year at the 2018 EGR Marketing and Innovation Awards this month.

The awards reward the most innovative and creative operators in the online gaming industry, recognising those who have pushed themselves to bring something new in the last 12 months.

This year saw LeoVegas take the top prize, seeing off competition from Sky Bet, PokerStars and Virgin Money, among others.

The company also took home awards for Affiliate Marketing Campaign and Innovation in Mobile and Tablet. In particular, the company was commended for widening its acquisition portfolio, including the recent take over of Rocket X and Royal Panda.

The brand was also recognised for its increase in revenue from 2016 to 2017, releasing exclusive casino games first, and for its stance on responsible gaming, where LeoSafePlay continues to grow as a portal of support for gamers to tackle responsible playing.
