The Tel Aviv-based Ladbrokes Israel starts operating as part of the agreement signed with Playtech, which was announced in March. It will be integrated with existing teams in London and Gibraltar.

Ladbrokes has also announced that Jim Mullen is to join the company from William Hill, taking on the role of director of digital and reporting to chief executive Richard Glynn.

Glynn said: "Today marks a significant step in our positioning of Ladbrokes as a major player in the rapidly evolving digital market. The appointment of Jim Mullen allied to the start of Ladbrokes Israel means we have strong foundations in place to accelerate our growth in this important area.”
