Major bookmaker Ladbrokes has chosen Blueprint Gaming and Ash Gaming as additional suppliers of online games, it has been announced.

At the EiG show in Milan, Richard Wilson, consultant to Blueprint, confirmed that Ladbrokes had moved away from its sole supplier situation with Microgaming in order to broaden its portfolio.  “This is a very high profile and significant new contract for Blueprint,” he said, “and one which was the subject of intensive competition in the tendering process.”

Wilson added that the deal represented a major success for the Blueprint parent company, the Gauselmann Group from Germany. “Paul and Michael Gauselmann have spent many, many years building up one of Europe's largest businesses in the street gaming industry, and the development that they have enabled Blueprint to undertake displays their readiness to use new technologies.”

He was supported by Dirk Quermann, CEO of Merkur-Win, one of the Gauselmann subsidiaries which was exhibiting at EiG through its Edict brand. “The Merkur 'sun' logo is one of the most familiar icons in Germany,” he said, “and now it is rising on the e-gaming industry too.”

Richard Wilson added that Blueprint, which was acquired by Gauselmann Group three years ago, now had its games in the portfolios of 15 major online gaming companies. He said that familiar games such as Viz, Ziuma, Chuzzle, Casper and to begin with, Bejeweled 2, will now be familiar to Ladbrokes' customers.

Blueprint, with offices in the UK and the Philippines, produces online slots, casino, bingo and skill games as well as scratch cards and is already working closely with Inspired Gaming and Gala Coral Group. Ash Gaming is based in London and designs and supplies games to many leading online operators and has partnerships with OpenBet and Playtech.
