An eight-day reflection period after ending self-exclusion is one of the changes made to the Netherlands’ gambling regulator's updated register.

Kansspelautoriteit says Centraal Register Uitsluiting Kansspelen now allows players to set their self-exclusion period for longer than the minimum six-month period and applies to arcades and casinos, as well as online games of chance.
The terminology used in Cruks has also been changed to become more explicit, with self-exclusion now being defined as a "Gambling stop" instead of a “Play break."
Players who self-exclude for longer than six months must also go through a self-reflection period after choosing to remove their name from the register, which was previously done with a single action.
The KSA says over 38,000 people are currently using Cruks in the Netherlands.
