Kindred has reported a slight increase in its share of gross gaming revenue from high-risk players, vowing to “support customers towards a more sustainable gambling experience.”

The latest figures from the operator group’s Journey towards Zero, which aims to eradicate revenue from high-risk players, showed the figure was at 3.2 per cent for Q1 2024, up from 3.1 per cent in Q4 last year.

The figure has remained fairly stable in the past 12 months, rising to a high of 3.3 per cent.

However, Kindred added that the percentage of detected customers who showed improved gambling behaviour after an intervention increased by 0.2 per cent in Q1 to 86.7 per cent.

In the past 12 months, this figure has again been stable with a high of 87.4 per cent.

Kindred director of communications Alexander Westrell said: “We continue to see our share of revenue from high-risk players fluctuate quarter to quarter, and we are working closely with all teams across the company to support customers towards a more sustainable gambling experience.

“However, it is encouraging to see that our Journey towards Zero data has steadily decreased since 2020.

“A similar trend can be seen across the healthier gambling behaviour effect after interventions. This tells us two things: our work is paying off, but we need to continue to push ourselves to propel a sustainable progression.”

Westrell also highlighted the impact of Kindred’s recent Sustainable Gambling Conference in March in fostering “open and transparent discussions.”
