Internet gaming software supplier GAN has entered into a partnership with Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment to provide sports betting services to the US market through Greenwood’s Parx Casino brand.

The contract concerns both the retail and online channels in Pennsylvania. Parx’s third-party sports betting application software will now be integrated by GAN, launching in the second half of this year.

Parx applied to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to launch internet gaming in the state earlier in July with GAN as its software platform provider. The deal is a multi-year contract.

Pennsylvania’s sports betting is forecast to generate $200m in the first 12 months and the retail sports betting business will turn over $100m.

Parx is a land-based operator with a casino close to Philadelphia. In its last fiscal year Parx generated $570m from slots and table games, around 18 per cent of the state’s $3.2bn gaming market.
