A new responsible gambling pilot from the Netherlands’ Addiction Prevention Fund has begun this week.
As announced by the regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), players can contact the national helpline, Loket Kansspel, to receive a free annual subscription to Gamban’s blocking software.
This will apply to all online gambling websites worldwide and will work on multiple devices.
The software is being offered free of charge for two years as part of the pilot, the KSA said.
The pilot has been rolled out amid a busy summer of sport, throughout which the regulator has vowed to monitor sports betting regulatory compliance and duty of care to players from operators.
Euro 2024 kicks off on Friday, while athletes from the Netherlands will also be a key feature in the Olympics.
