Flutter has appointed John Bryant to its board as non-executive director and chair designate.
Bryant is currently a non-executive director at Ball Corporation and has previous experience including at Kellogg Company as chief operating officer.
His appointment at Flutter took effect on Thursday, with his role as chair designate taking effect from September.
Outgoing chair Gary McGann is stepping down after a nine-year tenure as a non-executive director.
Bryant said he is looking to "grow the business and to take advantage of the many exciting opportunities that lie ahead."
McGann added Bryant "brings with him an enormous wealth of leadership experience in strategic, financial and operational matters."
