Sports betting handle in Pennsylvania reached a monthly record in November of US$934.1m, but ESPN Bet promotions contributed to a 75.6 per cent drop in revenue.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said the "steep drop" in revenue was due to a “significant amount” of non-taxable promotions by newly launched ESPN Bet.
It said a “low hold percentage” benefitted bettors in the state.
Overall gaming revenue in Pennsylvania in November hit $444.5m, a decrease of 1.74 per cent compared to November last year.
Retail slot machine revenue increased 2.25 per cent to $189.7m but retail table games revenue dropped 1.17 per cent to $77.9m.
Although, igaming revenue generated $158m in November, an increase of 22.8 per cent from last November’s $128.6m.
