Kambi Group has reported that Wednesday’s PDC World Darts Championship final was its most bet on event in the sport in its history.

Luke Humphries, who has dominated the sports in recent months, won the 2024 crown on Wednesday by beating Luke Littler 7-4.
However, Humphries’ 16-year-old opponent Littler, ranked 164th in the world at the start of the tournament, dominated the headlines throughout with his journey to the final after claiming a single win would be a landmark achievement.
And Kambi has reported that betting activity rose 45 per cent compared to the 2023 final between Michael van Gerwen and eventual winner Michael Smith.
The 2024 showdown also saw a “notable surge” in US enthusiasm for darts, Kambi said, with bets increasing 63 per cent compared with the 2023 tournament.
Kambi’s SVP of trading, Simon Noy, said: “The PDC World Darts Championship final has always been a highlight of the sporting calendar, but interest in last night’s final was truly remarkable.
“Luke Littler's phenomenal talent, particularly at such a young age, attracted worldwide attention, driving unprecedented interest and betting engagement globally.
“The fact Littler was playing Luke Humphries, the new world number one, in the final only added to the occasion, while our betting offer right throughout the Championships was better than ever, all contributing to a record tournament and final from a betting perspective."
Paddy Power donates £1m after tournament
Elsewhere, Flutter Entertainment-owned operator Paddy Power has donated £1m to Prostate Cancer UK off the back of the competition after its charity promotion.
It vowed to donate £1,000 to the charity for every 180 score thrown, with the overall sum hitting £914,000 after the final.
However, the operator rounded the figure up to £1m.
