Continent 8 Technologies' week at the ICE show started well when it won the Technology Supplier of the Year award at the International Gaming Awards, which was held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in London last week.

The company fought off competition from the other nominees who included Playtech, 3M and Iovation. Speaking to iNTERGAMINGi at ICE last Tuesday, Continent 8 CEO Michael Tobin said that it was a pleasant surprise and it was recognition for the extensive background that the company has. "We have been in the industry since 1998 and have serviced 80-90 per cent of this current industry." He added: "Our success is built on knowing customers’ needs and working closely with regulators from the different jurisdictions." Continent 8 offers unique hosting and management services and is literally the "bricks and mortar" for a number of its clients.

Continent 8 launched its new enhanced DDos product at this year’s show, which was initiated just before Christmas and will be available in the next few months.
