Clarion Gaming managing director Stuart Hunter said the company is “confidently predicting” that ICE and iGB Affiliate set a record attendance for any gambling event.

Hunter said the organisers have forecast an attendance of at least 56,000 as Clarion continues “forensic checks and data interrogations” following the debut for both events in the Spanish city in January.

That figure would overtake the 52,345 set at ICE and iGB Affiliate in ICE’s last event at ExCeL in London, UK, in February 2024.

“We have taken the unprecedented step of announcing these figures due to the level of interest generated by what were two historic events,” Hunter said.

“The final analysis will allow us to declare the number of unique visitors for both ICE and iGB Affiliate, the number of visitor days completed and a breakdown of nations represented. I can say that all of the indicators are in positive territory.”

Clarion is set to host a company-wide debrief next week, commencing February 3, to analyse the shows in detail.
