With the full horror of the devastation caused by super typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines still emerging, the Calvin Ayre Foundation has said it will match all donations made by the online gambling industry up to a total of $1m.

In addition, Calvin Ayre has himself pledged $200,000 to the relief efforts.
A statement released by the Foundation referred to the Philippines as having welcomed online gambling companies that are operating in the booming Asian markets.
It read: “It’s time to repay the generosity of the Filipino people by giving back to the country that has given us so much."
Donors are requested to email a copy of their donation receipt to [email protected] so that the Foundation can match the contributions.
Among others, donations can be made via the Philippine Red Cross and the UK DEC appeal.
