Fredrik Burvall has joined igaming company Gambling.com as an independent director having spent more than 11 years at Cherry Group as CFO and most recently as CEO.

Under his guidance, Cherry became one of the largest Nordic-facing gaming companies and saw its share price rise by over 800 per cent, Gambling.com said. Burvall oversaw major acquisitions including performance marketing company Game Lounge in 2015 and online operator ComeOn in 2016.

Having stepped down as CEO of Cherry in January 2017, Burvall is now active on the boards of two Stockholm listed companies, AspireGlobal and myTaste, as well as privately held Enteractive Malta. He holds an MBA in Economics from Stockholm University.
