Boldplay director and CEO Valli Fragoso is leaving the igaming supplier after its acquisition by Openbox Holdings.

Boldplay

Fragoso had previously said the visions of Boldplay and Richard Hogg’s Openbox Holdings are “closely aligned.”

She previously said she was “looking forward to building on the foundation we’ve established and expanding our reach to new audiences worldwide.”

But earlier this week, Fragoso said she is now exploring new opportunities.

“I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to all those I worked with while I was part of Boldplay,” she wrote on LinkedIn.

“It has been an incredible learning, journey and pride in everything we achieved together while working alongside such talented and dedicated professionals, I call my team.

“While this chapter comes to an end, I’m excited about the future. Thank you all for the support and connections we’ve shared through this venture.

“I wish great success to the new Boldplay management and team.”

Openbox and Boldplay will "continue to work closely with one another to ensure a seamless leadership transition," the companies said.

Richard Hogg, CEO of Openbox Holdings, said: “I, and the wider Openbox Holdings team, want to extend our warmest gratitude to Valli for her dedication and contributions to Boldplay. Over the last five years, she has made the studio an igaming force to be reckoned with. We wish her the best for her future endeavours.

“As Boldplay enters this new chapter, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to leverage our synergies to drive bold innovation and deliver exceptional value to our partners.

"Boldplay is stronger than ever, and this transition allows us to refine our focus on delivering exciting experiences and expanding market presence in 2025 and beyond.”

As part of the acquisition by Openbox Holdings, Boldplay’s existing content is being made available to operators across the Openbox Gaming platform.

Key members of Boldplay’s development team were also pencilled to join Openbox Gaming.

The two companies said they would pool resources to offer players new content and advance upcoming projects.

Hogg said Openbox has “long admired the creativity and innovation coming out of Boldplay.”
