Monkey Knife Fight, which was acquired by Bally’s Corporation in 2021 for US$90m, has ceased operations.
The daily fantasy sports app confirmed the news on Twitter and the move comes after the spotlight on Bally’s for its recent financial results.
A statement said that Monkey Knife Fight was “regretfully” and “with a heavy heart” closing down.
Bally’s recently-appointed CEO Robeson Reeves said the daily fantasy sports offering was one of several “mistakes” the company had made as it looked to increase its presence in sports.
