Austria’s Erste Bank Eishockey Liga has selected Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System to deliver match-fixing monitoring and detection services to the league.
During the two-year deal, Sportradar will monitor the regular season and play-off games, approximately 373 matches each year.
Axel Bammer, COO of the EBEL, said: “When the league includes so many important ice hockey markets and entertains so many passionate fans, we feel a strong responsibility to ensure that they all have no doubts about the commitment and the dedication of the teams and players.
“This partnership will ensure exactly that and we appreciate Sportradar’s support and expertise.”
Sportradar’s Andreas Krannich added: “The reputation that we have established over 11 years across sport - and more recently in ice hockey, through our work with the IIHF and the NHL, coupled with the strong and trustful relationship we have established with Austria’s Play Fair Code - allowed us to put forward a vital and credible proposition to the EBEL.
