Mobile gambling legislation was signed into law by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie yesterday.

The new law will allow patrons of Atlantic City casinos to gamble on remote devices within casino boundaries. The devices will be owned by the casinos and given to patrons who have a pre-paid account with them.
Mobile gambling could help the casinos of Atlantic City to remain competitive, providing a much-needed and significant new source of revenue.
New Jersey follows the US state of Nevada, which approved the use of remote gambling devices in public areas of casinos in 2006.
