One of the more colourful stands at the recent IAAPA show in Orlando, US, was of course that of Empex Water Toys where company president Wyeth Tracy was on hand to reveal the latest designs.
A first-of-its-kind development for a hotel chain in Houston, Texas, will see a new range of cowboy-themed water toys make an appearance. The Wild Wild Wet range of designs includes cowboys, sheriffs, bandits and cacti, and will contribute to an almost 250sq.m installation when complete.
The western-themed products were specifically requested and Tracy revealed that this is something that often occurs. “A client will make a request for us to provide a certain theme or colour and we can produce it. It then joins the ranks of our existing products and designs and expands our range.”
The Houston deal was one of many things that kept the Empex staff extremely busy during the show. Tracy explained: “We exhibit globally but IAAPA in Orlando is the biggest show for us by far. It’s been busier this year, I feel, what with the economy being on better shape, the industry is really getting some traction.”
