PenMet Parks’ new 18-hole mini-golf course will open on July 1 in Gig Harbor, Washington, US.

Mini

The mini-golf course is described as blending competition with hometown pride as the entertainment attraction is themed around local landmarks, maritime heritage and the area’s natural beauty.

Big foot, an orca and a lighthouse make up some of the obstacles guests will have to avoid as they attempt to beat the course.

Throughout the month of June, the venue will be open as part of a soft opening with reduced opening hours.

The entertainment option is one element of a US$32m development that was put in motion in December 2019 when the land was purchased by PenMet Parks to construct a new recreation centre.

Construction on the new centre got under way in 2023 and will fully open on July 1 alongside the mini-golf venue and will feature spaces for various sports, including pickleball, volleyball, football and basketball.

The recreation centre will have a ribbon cutting on June 17.
