Residents of Basingstoke in Hampshire, UK, can now simulate flying a paraglider.
The opening of iFLY Basingstoke by Paraflight VR,brings the world’s first fully immersive VR attraction that simulates flying a paraglider to the town.
The sit-down attraction combines physical movement driven by VR content and offers a sense of speed as jets blow air into the face of the rider, steering their paraglider through steep mountainous valleys and landscapes. During all of that they collect points.
The experience includes an introductory flight to help visitors become accustomed to the environment and the controls, followed by the full game-play experience in which players can compete with others. The ride costs £9.99 (€12) off-peak.
