Photobomb

Six people can play Photobomb, a paparazzi-themed game where players taking on the role of celebrities arriving for a photo shoot at the red carpet.

A picture frame appears on screen in each round in which players must rush to appear in, scoring points based on face, hand and feet markers. Points are awarded on how prominently each player is shown in each snapped picture.

After 12 rounds, the highest scorer earns the title of “Star”. The game has a combination of competitive gameplay and comedic value and is easy to understand and so accessible to players of all ages.

Gameplay remains fresh, with a single level offering 12 photographs and a pool of 50 settings that randomly appear each game. This ensures no game is the same.

Dr Raine Kajastila, CEO and founder of Valo Motion, said: “Social, active fun is one of the core principles of ValoArena, and Photobomb is our sixth game for this platform that encourages movement in a new way. Photobomb turns the ValoArena into a crazy photo booth and is most fun when played together with friends."

Giving background on the functionality of the game, Valo Motion’s lead developer Lauri Lehtonen, said: “We wanted to add photo booth functionality into ValoArena, but at its heart, the product is a gaming platform. That's why we decided to make a game that is about taking photos.

"The silly pictures taken by Photobomb are just the icing on the cake on top of the engaging, casually competitive game mechanics of trying to be the most visible person in the frame. The game is a perfect fit for friend groups and families to laugh together for a while and make some shared memories.”
