Valley Dynamo will begin shipping a new upscale pool table this summer.

The table, which made its debut at the Amusement Expo held in Las Vegas earlier in the year, has not yet been named, features solid maple construction with high-impact laminate top rails and worsted cloth. It will be offered with either an MEI bill acceptor or an ESD coin slide, both factory preset for $2 play.

The table is planned for production in 7ft. and 8ft. models and offers a wide range of operator programmable features. The electronics package includes the ability to schedule as many as three happy hours a day, seven days a week; three distinct levels of bonus or jukebox pricing, such as an additional play for a $5 or $10 bill insertion; and the option of rack or timed play.

The table will allow operators to get into higher-end locations where pool tables currently are not found, said Valley-Dynamo's Dave Courington. "This unit will also give them the ability to expand that look into traditional taverns and demand higher prices per play."

In particular, he said, the new table is well suited for placement in such upmarket sites as hotel lounges, theatres, bowling centres, sports bars or church recreation centres.
