Delegations from the two US trade associations, the AAMA (suppliers) and AMOA (operators) last week canvassed politicians in Washington over major concerns.

These included the continuation of account closures by some banks and to support the proposed tax reforms the associations believe would benefit small businesses.

Twenty-eight members of the two associations visited Capitol Hill as politicians were returning from their Thanksgiving holidays and had a series of meetings. They visited a total of 16 congressional offices to meet representatives of both the House and the Senate and the Senate Judiciary Committee.

They provided evidence that some banks were closing the accounts of arcade operators on the grounds of "operational risk," which the industry regards as unacceptable.
