The Pleasureland Amusements FEC at Whitby, UK, has completed a programme of implementation of Parafait’s expert system for amusement arcades.

The location has a large arcade indoor golf, tenpin bowling and extensive F&B.

Closed for almost four months due to the pandemic, Pleasureland reopened in early July, with work on the TapTap contactless card system still going on. Now it is fully implemented and coordinated with safety standards to make the experience safer and more secure for guests.

The Parafait Klassic kiosks have been installed at the venue so that customers can buy new cards and top up with ease. The kiosks are easy to service and permit operators to cross-sell or up-sell. There are integrated digital signage displays for advertising and promotions within the system.

The location is now planning to enhance the customer focus further with the Semnox platform for loyalty and membership programmes.

The location is owned and operated by Mitch Tuby (pictured). He said: “We made the right choice at the right time. Semnox has many functions and modules that we intend to adopt and roll out in coming days.”

Vinayaka Kamath, head of Semnox Solutions for MEA and Europe, said: “UK FECs have been typically slow to adopt the cashless sytems. Now with the pandemic and clients like Mitch taking Parafait, many venues are rapidly moving forward to adopt the cashless solution.”
