Simulator developer Triotech had a strong focus on its XD Dark Ride at last week’s IAAPA Attractions Expo, as well as showcasing its 10-film version of simulator Typhoon, which features latest title Safari Adventure.

The XD Dark Ride, which was launched in prototype format at the AAE in Singapore during the summer, is now in its final form and was continuing to prove popular with visitors to the show, according to Triotech’s Gabi Salabi.

“There is nothing comparable to our dark ride on the market,” said Salabi. “It uses real-time, 3D graphics, instant feedback and it is very responsive. It has unique game play and immerses riders in the experience. We will continue to remain focused on the content moving forward.”

Commenting on the IAAPA show itself, Salabi added: “We have been busy as always but it has definitely been quieter than we expected. The first day we saw quite a few US-based visitors but as the week has gone on we’ve seen more and more internationals from the Middle East and all over Asia, China in particular.”
