An "amusement world" is being incorporated as a new special zone of the Events and Amusement Expo that is to be held in Tokyo from February 5-7.

The exhibition, now in its seventh year, will be held at the Makuhari Messe between Tokyo city and the main international airport and is set to attract 650 exhibitors and around 30,000 visitors.

The new amusement world will form an integral part of the exhibition, designed to attract professionals from leisure complexes, shopping malls, resorts, hotels and developers to one dedicated area of the show that will specialise in amusement products.

The exhibition is expanding, separating its core events and amusement sections and adding in other event-related and leisure sectors, notably in view of the passing of the IR bill into law last year, that will permit new gambling resorts in designated areas.

With parks, FECs, arcades, event organisations, hotels, resorts and gambling to influence its structure, the 2020 Events and Amusement Expo in 2020 is set to truly represent what is the world’s second largest market for the amusement and leisure industries.
