A leading figure in the US theme parks industry, Charles "Hank" Salemi, has died unexpectedly.

Salemi was park president at Six Flags Great America in Illinois. He was also treasurer of the IAAPA trade association.

He died at home on Sunday and leaves a wife, Kathleen and daughter, Claire.
