FAMILY entertainment centres dominate many markets in our industry and a lot of them are huge in scale. A landscape dominated by operations of such magnitude means that, to succeed, one has to stand out from the crowd. Over the years, FECs have established themselves as a solid, and lucrative, medium for delivering amusements entertainment. The model is such an attractive proposition that first-time operators can fall at the first hurdle – placing all of their attention on the games and attractions within, but none on the minutiae of location design and theming.
