The region’s entertainment sector trade association appointed Tahmaseb to succeed ASI’s Prakash Vivekanand, the founding secretary-general of the organisation.

He commented: “MENALAC has grown in stature as a council in the past four years and the time is now perfect for the council to have a dedicated full-time secretary-general. In Rosa Tahmaseb we have a terrific candidate with rich experience in the MENA and Global leisure industry.”

Tahmaseb has 20 years’ experience in the leisure and attractions industry. She was involved in the planning and development of London’s Millennium Dome, managed a number of major carnivals in Hong Kong and Singapore and then the development and running of multiple observation wheels in the UK, Australia and Europe.

Tahmaseb was also general manager for Mellors Entertainment in Dubai, responsible for the rides and attractions at Global Village until 2015 when she took up the role of managing director EMEA for Embed International.
