Sega has revealed the first half of its IAAPA Expo line-up for its booths 1506 and 1606.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 Arcade Edition Mission: Impossible Arcade

As announced yesterday, Mission: Impossible Arcade is the firm’s latest big video game reveal. “We are very excited to bring the multibillion-dollar blockbuster film franchise Mission: Impossible to our market. Presented in a revolutionary new four-player super deluxe attraction cabinet, it features adrenaline-fuelled gameplay and is packed with brand new technology,” said Paul Williams, CEO at Sega.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 Arcade Edition is another new release. The officially licensed Olympic arcade game from Sega and Nintendo offers players the chance to participate in 12 events, including gymnastics, rugby, discus, triple jump, 100m, sport climbing, surfing and 100m freestyle as well as four retro events.

A choice of 12 classic characters includes Mario, Sonic, Luigi, Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Dr Eggman, Shadow, Yoshi, Wario, Bowser and Peach.

“Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 Arcade Edition will be available as a standalone cabinet and as a conversion kit to upgrade your Rio 2016 cabinets,” said Justin Burke, general manager at Sega.

“At IAAPA, we will be exhibiting the conversion and we highly recommend you experience this new game and see how the conversion kit could breathe fresh new life into your existing cabinets and deliver value for years to come.”

The two new titles will sit alongside Sega’s existing range of games including House of the Dead Scarlet Dawn, ATV Slam, Transformers: Shadows Rising, Storm Racer in a deluxe motion cabinet and perennial favourite Daytona Championship USA.

Sega is due to reveal its redemption and prize line-up for the show in the coming days.
